Our commitments

In 2011, Payan Bertrand formally adopted five commitments that guide its CSR strategy:

  1. Respect the resources impacted by our activity, without disengaging by outsourcing responsibilities
  2. Monitor the environmental impacts of Payan Bertrand’s activity in order to be able to direct future actions with a view to continuous improvement
  3. Develop exchanges with the various stakeholders directly or indirectly linked to Payan Bertrand’s activity
  4. Encourage and encourage initiatives to enhance the resources of Payan Bertrand
  5. Consider and anticipate, from the design stage of new Payan Bertrand projects, the strategies needed to be implemented so that development paths take environmental and social aspects into account

2024

Formalization through the publication of a specific regulation for the RSE committee.

First verification of one of our main supply chains by the UEBT: hay

2023

Implementation of a social barometer, a major dynamic for improving employee well-being.

2022

Obtaining the “Geographical Indication Pays de Grasse” certification for plants from the region – Rose Centifolia,

Mimosa, Violette, Flouve – attesting to their local production and processing.

Creation of a dedicated “Energy Team” to address energy and climate issues.

2021

Integration of our suppliers’ approach into the purchasing process, via the ECOVADIS platform.

Raising awareness of the sustainable development goals adopted by the UN.

2020

Development of a continuous improvement plan based on the proposed corrective actions.
Integration of CSR actions specific to the steering committee: Waste sorting, carpooling, etc.
Drafting of a formalized Responsible Sourcing policy.
Obtaining the 1st silver medal by ECOVADIS.

2018

Structuring the long-term CSR Strategy.
Creation of a CSR Steering Committee.
Formalization of the approach with all employees.
Drafting of a code of conduct for supplier commercial relations.

2017

Conducting third-party audits (SEDEX, clients, etc.)
Developing a CSR policy.
Disseminating an ethical code of conduct.
Drafting an ethical code for business relations.

2013

1st substantial inventory of our CSR actions.
Publication of the first CSR report.
Annual reporting since this date.

2010

Commitment to a CSR approach specific to Payan Bertrand.
Development of the principles and objectives of the internal charter.

Our commitments

Payan Bertrand is committed to continually strengthening CSR issues in its business. Our company is regularly assessed by third parties to make progress on these issues. Payan Bertrand contributed to the creation of the sustainable development charter for our Flavors and Perfumes industry, of which it is now a signatory.
